Georgia O’Keeffe Southwest Excursion Road Trip
November 2, 2014 - November 6, 2014
This workshop has been canceled. There are still a few spots left in the October 27-31, 2014 Excursion. Spend a week traversing some of the special places Georgia O’Keeffe loved in the Southwest. Experience the beauty of each
landscape and significant space to help understand how it inspired her as an artist and as a human being. Schedule will include time in Santa Fe, Abiquiu, Ghost Ranch and Taos.
$895 per person-Package includes double occupancy lodging for four nights at Ghost Ranch historic cottages or scheduled venue, all meals except two (2) dinners, tour fees, programming and transportation during the excursion starting in Santa Fe.
Kate Coleman fell in love with Ghost Ranch during her visit in 1964. After raising three “little women” and a career in government service, she is living the dream as a tour guide at Ghost Ranch. Kate developed a passion for micaceous pottery at Ghost Ranch, an avocation where she also invests her time and energy.
Karen Butts is the Tours and Education Manager at Ghost Ranch in Abiquiu, New Mexico where she develops curriculum for our tours, train guides and leads interpretive tours and walks. She became interested in Georgia O’Keeffe while taking an Art History class at Sarah Lawrence College. Karen is an outdoor enthusiast and has worked in the field teaching natural history in Montana, California and the desert Southwest.
