A three-week intensive painting session, practicing intuitive as well as artistic techniques. You will be combining what you observe with your emotional response and following up with expressing it with your hand.
My anticipated goal for you is that you will be expanding your skills as a painter and 2-dimensional creator. I will be pushing you to explore beyond your comfort zone, and into a greater sense of the artist you are. In other words, helping you to elevate your unique voice. T
his workshop is for intermediate to professional artists who are interested in advancing their skill in their chosen 2-D medium. We will explore deeper into materials, methods and techniques to help you represent your Subject to its best affect. You will be bringing all your own surfaces and painting gear to this workshop. Through demonstration, discussion and abundant studio time, you will be learning your personal path to being the one-of-a-kind artist that you are with me there to guide you. Each week will build upon the last.
By the end of the 3-week session, you will be feeling you have gained the skill and confidence to take your work forward toward your next goals! Bring a dedicated notebook to take down information I share with you in class. You will be referencing back to your notes as you go through class as well as long after we finish. Bring an open mind, an open heart and prepare to have a great time!

Contemporary American Realist Natasha Isenhour expresses her emotional response to unpopulated spaces with an edgy lonesome starkness that defines the very essence of her work in oil and pastel. Isenhour exhibits throughout the southwest and teaches several sold out workshops each year, both in plein air and studio.
Highlights of 2022 included an Award of Excellence in the Oil Painters of America Regional Exhibition in Dallas and a 5-week solo museum exhibition at the Taos Museum and Fechin Studio in Taos, NM. In Spring of 2023, Terry Ludwig Pastels LLC released “Natasha Isenhour Essential Alchemy Set of 60 pastels,” and she served a second year as faculty for PACE, Plein Air Convention and Expo in Denver. In August 23, she won another honorable mention in the OPA Summer Online Showcase. In 2024, she will be awards judge and workshop instructor for the Pastel Society of Colorado’s Mile High 30th International Exhibition and will be also teach a workshop at the IAPS, International Association of Pastel Societies Convention in NM.
